🐾 June at Happy Tails Shelter: A Month of Hope, Heartbreak & Unbreakable Determination

We’re excited to share some of the progress we’ve made this June at Pertubuhan Pencinta Haiwan Terbiar Kasih Belaian Ipoh Perak, thanks to your incredible support!

 

 

 

June was a month of both heartbreak and healing. With over 200 furbabies in our care, every day brought its own battle.

But with your support, love found its way through:

 

🐶 9 New Rescues : We took in 9 dogs this month — each with their own story, each one now safe.

 

🦯 A Blind Dog, Dumped and Alone : Left to wander in total darkness, she had no chance on the streets.

We brought her in and named Lola. Now she’s learning what safety feels like.

 

💉 104 Dogs Vaccinated : Thanks to kind sponsors, 104 of our furbabies received their yearly vaccinations —

protecting them from deadly diseases like parvo, distemper, and rabies. One step closer to a healthier shelter.

 

🏥 Spay & Neuter: 12 dogs have been spayed/neutered. Each surgery helps stop the cycle of abandonment.

Each one is a life protected before it begins.

 

💔 We Couldn't Save Them All : An elderly dog passed peacefully after battling kidney failure.
We also buried several strays we found lifeless on the road — nameless in the world, but not in our hearts.

 

🐍 Snake in the Shelter : A terrifying moment: a snake entered our shelter grounds. Our team acted quickly,

and thankfully, all furbabies are safe.
But it was a painful reminder — even inside our gates, danger can find us.

 

🦴 Some Days, Too Little Food : There were days when donations ran low. The meals were small, but our love was big.
Your meal sponsorships kept us going — one bowl at a time.

 

Every day reminds us of the importance of your support. Together, we can keep working to make a difference for these furry lives. ❤

 

June Medical Costs
We spent almost RM9,000 just on medical treatments this month alone. Your support is more important than ever!

 

Ongoing Needs:
To continue providing top-notch care for our dogs, we need help with our monthly expenses:

 

Food Supplies: RM12,000 to keep our dogs well-nourished. 🍽

Medical Funds: RM4,500 to cover ongoing treatments and check-ups. 💊

Rescue Operations: RM4,000 to bring in and care for more dogs in need. 🚨

Shelter Rent: RM3,000 to maintain a secure and comfortable environment. 🏠

3 Caretaker Salaries: RM5,400 to support our dedicated team. 👩‍⚕👨‍⚕

Burial or Cremation: RM250-450 per dog for burial or cremation ceremonies (depending on weight). 🌹
